Two current and seven former families of students at Madison East High School have filed a federal suit against the school district and a former teacher.
David Kruchten was sentenced to 12 years in prison for secretly recording students using hidden cameras during field trips.
The complaint has been filed with the U-S District Court’s Western District of Wisconsin.
The victims attended the school between 2014 and 2021.
The complaint accuses the Madison Metropolitan School District of having a “pattern and practice of installing and using hidden cameras” to record its employees and students without their knowledge.
