Since returning from his battle with COVID-19, 1st District State Senator Andre Jacque of De Pere has gone right back to his busy schedule.
Two more of his bills are making their way through the legislature, including Senate Bill 92, which is on its way to Governor Tony Evers’ desk.
The bill, which has support from both sides of the aisle, aims to require training for guardians of incapacitated adults.
The other bill making waves is Senate Bill 395, which is related to the investigation of reports of abuse to at-risk adults.
Currently, Adult Protective Services may decide not to investigate reports of abuse of adults with disabilities for adults ages 18-59.
This bill makes investigations of adults-at-risk reports also mandatory.
This measure has passed the Senate and is now on its way to the Assembly.
