Work on a new sewer pipeline in Manitowoc County began this month and is costing much less than initially anticipated.
The pipe will run from Clarks Mills to Valders and project bids came about $900,000 under the projected cost.
The project will cost around $2.3 million, with $1.05 million going to the actual pipeline, and the remaining $1.28 slotted for a lift station.
The project was initially estimated to cost around $3.2 million.
The project got underway last week, which is also three weeks earlier than projected.
Materials were ordered well in advance in an attempt to avoid any shipping delays.
