We are only four days away from the 2021 State Boys and Girls Cross Country Championships, and several runners from the Lakeshore area will be making the trip to Wisconsin Rapids.
In total, four local and area teams qualified for the races at Ridges Golf Course on Saturday.
For the first time since 1991, both the boys and girls teams at Valders qualified for the Division 3 race.
In Division 2, Kiel and Two Rivers Boys also punched their ticket to state.
There are also a multitude of runners who qualified as individuals.
The Boys competition will start at Noon with Division 2 runners kicking things off, followed by Division 1 at 12:35, and Division 3 at 1:10 PM.
Then it’s the Girls’ turn, with the D-3 runners taking off at 1:45, followed by Division 1 at 2:25 PM, and closing out the day will be Division 2, with the gun sounding at 3:05 PM.
A full list of qualifiers can be found on the WIAA website.
