Questions continue to swirl around the 2020 election.
State Senate majority leader Devin LeMahieu was on WCUB’s Breakfast club recently.
He said the Senate elections committee report issued last Friday, while it found no widespread fraud, did identify inconsistent administration of election law.
“Some areas where the elections commission wasn’t giving advice to local clerks that followed state law, and their training protocols weren’t up to snuff, a lot of things like that,” LeMahieu said. “And some areas in some parts of the state where the local clerks weren’t exactly following state law either, such as making sure that all ballots were signed – all absentee ballots were signed, and things like that, so definitely some work needs to be done here.”
Former state Supreme Court justice Michael Gableman is heading up an investigation into the irregularities.
