Those of you who tried to make a phone call this weekend may have run into a bit of an issue.
As we previously reported, the Federal Communications Commission has created a new three-digit phone number to access the Mental Health Crisis Lifeline, which now requires that all phone calls, even local ones, be dialed using the full ten-digit format.
The new short-form number for the lifeline is now in place, meaning those who are struggling with mental health issues to receive the help they deserve by simply dialing 988.
For all other calls, you must now dial the area code, and the normal seven digits every single time.
