A Manitowoc woman was taken into police custody over the weekend following a disturbance.
Officers were sent to a home on South 26th Street after the father of a 37-year-old woman reported seeing disturbing comments on social media.
The woman eventually came out of the home but was argumentative with the police. An officer pulled out his Tazer but did not fire it.
The woman continued to be combative with officers as she was placed into custody. Once she was put in the squad car, she allegedly spat on a police officer.
The woman was charged with Discharge of Bodily Fluid, Battery to Law Enforcement, Resisting Arrest, and Disorderly Conduct.
Due to the sensitive nature of the situation, the Seehafer News team will not be releasing her name.
