Wisconsin is predicted to be a “battleground” state for next year’s gubernatorial election on Nov. 8, 2022.
Incumbent Democratic Governor Tony Evers will seek a second term in office.
Currently, the Republicans have three declared candidates Adam J. Fischer, former police officer and current business owner, Rebecca Kleefisch, former Lieutenant Government, and Jonathan Wichmann.
The high-profile nature of the election along with COVID-19 considerations will put local communities and polling places under pressure to ensure a faultless voting experience and result.
UW-Green Bay is offering a Gubernatorial Election Academy over the course of two and a half days, November 29th and December 1st, to prepare local officials and volunteers on election preparation, election polling operations, and duties after the polls close.
