Two people are dead following a situation in Ashwaubenon.
The situation began when officers with Ashwaubenon Public Safety were sent to check on the welfare of those in a home in the 2300 block of Cedar Ridge Drive at around 10:00 yesterday morning.
It was reported that 27-year-old Karissa Peronto had not shown up for work, and hadn’t been responding to text messages or calls.
When authorities arrived, they reported hearing a scuffle and gunshots coming from the garage, prompting the call to the Brown County Sheriff’s Department.
Their SWAT Team arrived as police evacuated the residents from the four-unit apartment complex.
After numerous attempts to make contact failed, officers were able to get a camera inside the garage, where a man and woman were found dead.
The woman was identified as Peronto, and the man was 26-year-old Bryan Morales.
