The Green Bay Area Public School District’s Board President has decided to dump his social media accounts claiming safety concerns.
Eric Vanden Heuvel and the rest of the Board of Education have been criticized for the masking mandates they put in place.
A post was made on Facebook criticizing the Board, and Vanden Heuvel says that “the safety of my family was compromised.”
The post in question calls for the public to “Watch, film and share” board members’ posts and daily movements.
Board Member Andrew Becker was also directly targeted, but he said that he doesn’t believe anyone has crossed a line.
The Green Bay Police Department is looking into the situation to see if there were any laws broken, while the individual who posted the message said that he could have worded the post better and that he does not condone violence.
