The City of Manitowoc Parks Division has begun the process of closing and winterizing the majority of the park restrooms and drinking fountains for the winter.
Six public restroom areas will remain open all winter for recreational activities.
Those parks are Halvorsen, Lighthouse, and Manitou Park, along with Lincoln Park Zoo, and the public restrooms at Lincoln Park Cabin #1 and the Silver Creek Fieldhouse.
The Parks Division expects the remainder of all restrooms to be closed by the end of the day today.
