Every so often a truly great player shows up at a critical time in an important game.
Case in point, defensive lineman Kenny Clark in the closing minutes of the Packers’ 24-14 win over the Chicago Bears.
Chicago was driving the ball in the fourth quarter and managed to get into field goal range.
A three-point kick would make it a single-score game.
Then, Clark took over.
He sacked Bears rookie quarterback Justin Fields on two of the final three plays of the drive, forced a punt, and second a fifth win in a row for Green Bay.
He has the big contract in his pocket, but sometimes the 26-year-old standout doesn’t get the credit he deserves.
