The Wisconsin men’s hockey team exploded for three goals in the final period against Army Thursday night, claiming the first Badgers win of the season 4-1.
San Stange put Wisconsin up by a goal in the second period.
When Army matched it, the two sides stayed tied until forward Jack Gorniak found the range at 14:58 of the third period.
When Army pulled its goalie with two minutes to go, Owen Lindmark found the open net, then Ryder Donovan added another goal with 22 seconds left.
Goaltender Cameron Rowe had 21 saves for the Badgers.
The same two teams meet tonight (October 15th) at 7:00 p-m at the Kohl Center.
