The head coach of the Army Black Knights is impressed by the Badgers’ size and athleticism.
It’s not just that Wisconsin players are bigger at just about every position, it’s also their strength and quickness.
Coach Jeff Monken says they pose some challenges. He calls the players on the Wisconsin offensive line “enormous.”
Monken isn’t wrong.
Every Badgers offensive lineman weighs more than 300 pounds, while none of Army’s starters tops 290.
Monken points out that U-W linebackers Jack Sanborn and Leo Chenal look like his defensive ends.
Running on Wisconsin defense will be tough.
It’s given up a nation-leading 44 yards a game on the ground.
