A Manitowoc woman is facing charges after she reportedly fired a gun in her home.
Officers with the Manitowoc Police Department responded to a home in the 1100 block of South 20th Street at around 7:30 PM yesterday following a 911 call stating a weapon was fired.
The 31-year-old female suspect was arrested while walking on South 20th Street near Hamilton Street, and officers went in to speak with her husband.
He explained that the suspect entered a room he was in and continued an argument that had begun the night before.
She then reportedly walked out of the room, entered their shared bedroom, and fired the handgun.
The man struggled with her to get her away from the weapon while their roommate called 911.
When asked why she fired the weapon the woman claimed it was to see if her husband cared.
She was charged with 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, and Disorderly Conduct.
