
A Green Bay woman has been found guilty due to a no-contest plea on charges related to her son’s death.
26-year-old Sagal Hussein entered the plea on five charges, namely Child Neglect Resulting in Death, Hiding the Corpse of a Child, two counts of Neglecting a Child, and Obstruction, while five other counts were read into the record.
Police found the body of 5-year-old Josias Marquez in the trunk of Hussein’s car on March 31st of last year after he was last seen in November of 2019.
Josias was diagnosed with cerebral palsy prior to his death and was found in a state of decay, mummified, and significantly malnourished.
Police estimated the boy weighed just over 30 pounds at the time of his death.
Hussein is due back in court for sentencing on December 7th.
