A Fond du Lac County judge has ruled a man accused of killing a motorcycle rider deliberately is competent to stand trial.
28-year-old Daniel Navarro will be arraigned on October 21st.
Navarro is charged with first-degree intentional homicide with a hate crime enhancer.
He reportedly told investigators he had been the target of racism because he is from Mexico.
He said he recognized that Phillip Thiessen, the victim, was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he swerved his truck to hit it.
He told police only white people ride Harleys and he believes they are racist.
