It was like something you would see in a movie.
The De Pere Police Department has reported that a woman was walking with her 4-week-old infant on the East River Trail yesterday (October 5th), when she was attacked.
Details of the attack have not yet been made public, but what we do know is that the victim’s husband called the police at around 11:30 AM after he located their child lying in a grassy area.
Police conducted a search and located the woman roughly 50 yards away from the infant.
Her condition has not been released, other than the fact that she did survive the ordeal.
Authorities believe the attacker acted alone, and that they did not know the victim.
While police stressed, they were not blaming the victim, they encouraged people to walk in groups when walking in City Parks or on trails.
More details on the situation are expected sometime today.
