A shooting was reported in Milwaukee Tuesday afternoon, a block away and just 20 minutes before Governor Tony Evers was to arrive.
Officers say it appears that no one was hit by the multiple shots that were fired.
Evers was briefed on the shooting and continued with the outdoor event where he announced $75 million in grants to support minority communities and diverse business efforts.
