There are now plans in place for the former Wells Fargo building in Two Rivers.
According to City Manager Greg Buckley, Curt and Jean Andrews alongside Barry and Gina Krahn gave a presentation to the City Council on Monday regarding their proposal for the location.
They are the primary investors in a group known as Wine Not LLC, who have plans to develop the former bank into a venue that would be known as Cool City Brewing Company.
That venue will be a “micro-brewery with restaurant, and both indoor and outdoor dining,” according to Buckley, and will cost the group an estimated $1.5 million.
However, the City is backing the group, as Buckley explained, saying “Council did approve a resolution directing staff to submit an application to the Community Development Investment grant program of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation to support the project.”
Buckley called it a “pretty cool (no pun intended) development project” which will take over the former bank location at 1718 West Park Street which was left vacant in 2017.
