Some parents of students in the Unified School District of De Pere caused a disruption at a recent Board of Education meeting.
The Board invited Pediatrician Donald Beno of Aurora Children’s Health to speak about COVID-19 mitigation strategies, and several parents continually interrupted the doctor.
One notable outburst came when Dr. Beno said that “The children don’t really have a problem with wearing a mask. The adults typically have more of a problem than the children do.”
This drew the ire of some in attendance but did not deter the Board from continuing their masking mandate for grades 4K through 6th grade.
