The teen that reportedly ran away from home over the weekend has been found safe.
According to the Door County Sheriff’s Department, 17-year-old Sofiya Ackerman of Bailey’s Harbor was located yesterday (October 5th) and is now safe.
It’s not clear at this time where she was found, or why she left her home.
Police believe Ackerman fled on her own accord as she attempted to hide the fact that she was leaving her parents.
