He had only been working in the Milwaukee City Attorney’s Office for eight weeks when Christian Thomas turned in his resignation.
Thomas is the 13th attorney to leave that office since last year.
He says he stepped aside when his boss, City Attorney Tearman Spencer, ordered him to write a retaliatory memo against a former member of the staff who accused Spencer of sexual harassment.
Thomas says the city attorney was trying to use the power of his office to smear the woman.
Six staff members have accused Spencer of sexual harassment this year alone.
