Students at Mishicot High School will experience the financial education event, The Reality Store, presented by The Chamber of Manitowoc County’s Partners in Education Committee.
The Reality Store will be held on Thursday, October 21st, from 8:00 to 11:00 am at Mishicot High School, 660 Washington St., Mishicot.
The Reality Store provides high school students with an idea of how their choices in life affect their finances. Prior to entering The Reality Store, students receive a salary and must make decisions based on their salary as they visit the booths at The Reality Store. Booths consist of the things in life that decisions need to be made about such as housing, transportation, utilities, groceries, childcare, etc.
During their trip through The Reality Store, students will learn about the importance of financial planning, goal setting, decision making, and career planning. Students will also begin to examine their attitudes about their futures and career expectations.
