Some details have come to light regarding the human remains found at a State Park in Calumet County.
Investigators are saying the remains are that of a “post-adolescent” male and had been there for an extended period of time.
They also looked into the possible connection to a nearby Native American burial ground, but that has been ruled out.
The hikers who found the remains are cooperating with authorities, and the upper park area will remain closed through noon today as the state crime lab and anthropologists continue their investigation.
