Some statements made by a stabbing suspect in Oshkosh have been suppressed.
18-year-old Grant Fuhrman is facing a charge of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide after he reportedly stabbed School Resource Officer Michael Wissink with a barbeque fork at Oshkosh West High School in 2019.
Judge Daniel Bisset agreed to suppress statements made by Fuhrman as he was lying in a hospital bed shortly after he was shot in the chest during the incident by Officer Wissink, which was determined to be justified.
There were several reasons cited for the suppression, namely Fuhrman’s age at the time, his physical condition, and the fact that his parents were not present.
He reportedly told police he waited for Wissink to be alone with his back turned so he “wouldn’t see it coming.”
