There is a large traffic backup on Highway 23 in Sheboygan County.
According to information received from the Department of Transportation and a citizen, traffic is backed up between the Kohler and Howards Grove exits.
Motorists are being asked to avoid the area if possible, and traffic already in the area is being rerouted.
Eastbound drivers are being told to take Highway 57, County C, Highway 32, County O and Highway 57 back to 23.
Westbound traffic will go the opposite way.
The DOT said that the cause of the backup is a traffic crash between Sunset Road in Sheboygan Falls and Highway 32.
