A Democratic candidate for U-S Senate has entered a not guilty plea to one of the five theft by fraud charges she faces.
Chantia Lewis is also a Milwaukee Alderwoman.
Wednesday’s plea was to a misdemeanor charge, while the other four charges are felonies.
Lewis is accused of taking more than $20,000 in campaign money and false travel reimbursements from the city.
She has a preliminary hearing scheduled for next month.
