Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) and Johnson Financial Group announced on Wednesday the Top 8 products advancing on in the Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin Contest.
The Big Blue Crane that was made at Broadwind Heavy Fabricators in Manitowoc advanced to the Round of 8 as the number 5 seed.
The crane is facing off against the number 4 seed, a product made in Ashland known as WiNDR, which according to the competition website is a “slit rewinder that creates medical, disinfecting, cleaning, and industrial wipes.”
Also advancing is the sixth-seeded BenShot Aircraft Propeller Glass, which is made in Appleton.
The unique glass is taking on an outboard engine made at Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac, which was seeded #3.
