A teen from Wisconsin who moved to Texas in 2020 to escape the violence was shot and killed Monday evening in Houston, Texas.
Police say Andrell Whitelow of Milwaukee confronted an armed man who took hostages in a convenience store and was shot.
Police say 47-year-old Al Vernon Brown is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in Whitelow’s death and has pending charges of murder and aggravated assault of a police officer.
