A former Defensive Tackle for the Green Bay Packers has been arrested on a battery charge.
Officers with the Green Bay Police Department were sent to a home in the 500 block of 5th Street early Sunday morning on a report of an altercation between a man and a woman.
34-year-old Letroy Guion answered the door upon their arrival and was reportedly agitated.
Guion denied the officers entry to the home, but they went in anyway because they believed the woman inside was injured, and they were correct.
The woman was reportedly intoxicated and incoherent due to the injuries she sustained. She was taken to St. Vincent Hospital for treatment of what were described as severe facial injuries.
Guion went on an expletive-filled rant, blaming playing football for his actions saying that when people mess with people who played in the NFL, “we snap the f*** out.”
Guion has been charged with Substantial Battery with Intention of Causing Great Bodily Harm, and Disorderly Conduct. If convicted, Guion could spend just over three and a half years in prison and pay fines of up to $11,000.
