Wisconsin’s newest large-scale solar energy facility is operating in Two Creeks. Landowners, local and state leaders attended Thursday’s ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Point Beach Solar Energy Center.
Work started there four years ago. The crowd was told the center will generate almost eight million dollars over the next 20 years for Manitowoc. The construction work created more than 200 jobs. The 315,000 solar panels convert the sun’s energy with a capacity of generating 100 megawatts of power.
