Officials in Milwaukee have a plan to spend $394 million in federal funding to help the state’s largest city bounce back from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The money comes from the American Rescue Plan Act.
During a Thursday virtual meeting, it was promised that the stimulus dollars will be distributed equally.
Eight funding priorities have been identified – affordable housing, city services, job training, early childhood education, infrastructure, broadband access, small business development, and funding initiatives to help keep neighborhoods safe.
Another hearing is set for October 15th and a final vote on the plan is coming November 2nd.
