A Milwaukee man will spend the next nine years in prison after he was caught with drugs and a gun at an Ashwaubenon hotel.
Officers with Ashwaubenon Public Safety were called to an unspecified hotel one evening in May 2020, after a disturbance was reported in one of the rooms.
35-year-old Leroy Spinks was spotted leaving the hotel and was pulled over before he could leave.
He was found to be in possession of an estimated 72 grams of heroin, and a Glock 30 handgun with a fully loaded 24 round magazine.
Drug paraphernalia was also located, resulting in Spinks’ arrest.
Spinks pleaded guilty to two charges related to the incident and following his prison sentence will spend six years on extended supervision.
