Spectacular Upper Midwest early fall weather is waiting for college football fans who take in the Wisconsin-Notre Dame game Saturday at Chicago’s Soldier Field.
Temperatures will be in the mid-60s when the two teams meet for the first time in 57 years.
The last meeting was a 31-7 Fighting Irish win at Camp Randall Stadium in September 1964.
Rain, snow, and a 35 mile-an-hour wind made that day much less comfortable for the fans in Madison.
Wisconsin is a 6.5 point favorite to beat the number-12 Fighting Irish.
Notre Dame scores more on offense, but the Badger defense gives up just 194 yards a game – about half the 381 yards the Irish surrender.
The kickoff is set for 11:00 a-m.
