A Manitowoc man has been arrested after he reportedly kicked open the door to his ex-wife’s home.
Officers were sent to a home in the 4900 block of Vista Road at around 1:45 PM yesterday (September 21st) on a family trouble call.
When they arrived, they spoke with a woman, who explained that her ex-husband had shown up at the home demanding access so he could get some of his things.
The woman asked that he leave multiple times, but the 39-year-old man would not leave.
He eventually became infuriated, and kicked open the door, causing significant damage to the frame and locking mechanism.
The woman’s story was corroborated by security camera footage, so the police called the suspect. He denied any wrongdoing but agreed to meet with officers.
They placed the man under arrest on charges of Criminal Damage to Property with a Domestic Violence Enhancer, as well as Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
