A De Pere man who teaches at Green Bay West High School has been arrested on child sex charges.
52-year-old Gregory Sawyer was taken into custody last week on one count of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of a Child after the victim reported the decades-old assault.
Details of the incident have not been released, but we do know that he has been working in the Green Bay Area Public School District since 1998.
The District released a statement on the issue, saying that the assault reportedly happened in 1997, and is unrelated to his time working in the District.
Sawyer has been placed on unpaid administrative leave as the case continues.
