A 55-year-old man has been killed while walking his horse in Mineral Point.
Authorities in Iowa County think the driver who hit Craig Cheney Friday just after 6:00 p-m was intoxicated.
Cheney was walking the horse with another person when he was fatally injured.
He was taken to Upland Hills Hospital where he died.
The driver of the car that hit him – Alexander Garic of Highland – was arrested on a charge of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle.
The person who was with Cheney hasn’t been identified.
The accident happened along State Highway 39 near Iowa County Highway “E.”
