Badgers freshmen put on a show in a pair of weekend sweeps played in DeKalb, Illinois.
After Friday’s 3-0 sweep of U-W-Green Bay, the undefeated Badgers volleyball team swept Northern Illinois Saturday.
Julia Orzol bounced back from an injury to lead Wisconsin with 14 kills against Green Bay and another eight against Northern Illinois.
Another freshman, Anna Smrek, had eight kills in the Saturday match. And, Lauren Jardine led the Badgers with 14 kills the same day.
Serving was a strong point with 10 aces over the weekend.
Conference play begins Friday on the road at Maryland.
Wisconsin will bring a perfect 8-0 record into that Big Ten Conference match.
