Officials with the UW System are offering more incentives to increase campus vaccine rates.
As a part of its “70 For 70 Campaign,” the system is going to be giving away 70 scholarships for $7000 to vaccinated students on any UW campus.
The Madison campus isn’t included, and the campaign includes a stipulation. Those vaccinated students will only be entered for a chance at one of the scholarships if their campus reaches a 70% vaccination rate.
At the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, campus officials haven’t said what their vaccination rate is, but they say it is certainly not 70 percent yet.
