The woman who allegedly shot an Oconto Falls Police Officer back in August is now in jail.
29-year-old Alisha Kocken was arrested immediately following the incident but was admitted to a mental health facility for treatment.
Kocken is facing nine charges, including Attempted 1st Degree Intentional Homicide, and Battery to a Law Enforcement Officer with Use of a Dangerous Weapon following the incident on August 6th.
Officer Nicole Blaskowski responded to Kocken’s home in the 100 block of Elm Avenue to investigate a series of 9-1-1 hang-ups.
There was a struggle between the two women, and Kocken was able to remove Blaskowski’s weapon from its holster.
She then fired three rounds, with one of them hitting the officer in the head.
Blaskowski survived the incident and was released from the hospital.
