An Appleton man who was involved in a hit and run in 2018 has been sentenced.
46-year-old James Hutcherson will spend six months in jail followed by three years on extended supervision.
According to police records, the victim was walking home from the Lawrence University Chapel and was struck by a vehicle being driven by Hutcherson as she was in a crosswalk at the intersection of College Avenue and Lawe Street.
Hutcherson initially stopped, but then took off.
The woman suffered a brain bleed and skull fracture but did survive the ordeal.
Security video caught the incident, and Hutcherson was quickly apprehended.
