A former Vikings cornerback was among four players working out for the Green Bay Packers earlier this week.
Holton Hill was an undrafted free agent who was signed by Minnesota three years ago.
Hill has good size at 6′ 2″ and 196 pounds, plus 4.49 speed in the 40.
Sunday’s struggles by Kevin King revealed the Packers have a need in the defensive backfield.
Rookie Eric Stokes is expected to get a lot of defensive snaps this season and looks like he will eventually be a standout N-F-L defender.
Hill appeared in 28 games for the Vikings with one sack, eight pass breakups, and one interception during 799 defensive snaps.
He’s also been a solid performer on special teams. He was recently cut by the Indianapolis Colts.
