The West Allis memorial for a six-year-old stabbing victim is growing.
Neighbors have been leaving mementos to remember the short life of Hank “Asher” Brown-Rockow. His mother, 32-year-old Tasha Rockow, has been charged with chronic neglect of a child resulting in death and false imprisonment.
The mother called 9-1-1 last week saying he had been playing with knives and she found him injured. Emergency responders said the boy was limp, malnourished, and cold when they arrived. Witnesses have told investigators the boy’s mother often withheld food and beat him.
She made an initial court appearance Saturday and is being held on a $151,000 cash bond.
