A fire in Green Bay over the weekend is being blamed on the improper disposal of smoking materials.
The fire in the 1300 block of Western Avenue was called into the Green Bay Metro Fire Department just after 1:00 PM.
The blaze was quickly extinguished, but it took a little longer to get all the smoke out of the apartment.
The Fire Department has reported that the fire was started due to the improper disposal of smoking materials and that it caused an estimated $1,500 in damage.
