Quarterback Jameis Winston threw five touchdown passes as the New Orleans Saints blew Green Bay off the field in Jacksonville Sunday 38-3.
The game was played in Florida after Hurricane Ida hit Louisiana late last month, forcing the season opener to be moved away from the Superdome.
Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers hit 15-of-28 passes for 133 yards, no touchdowns, and two interceptions. Rodgers was pulled from the game with 11 minutes left and the outcome was already decided.
The Saints didn’t have to punt in the first half.
Green Bay has a full week to find out what went wrong, then it will host the Detroit Lions in the home opener at Lambeau Field on Monday Night Football, September 20th.
