When Cleveland catcher Ryan Lavarnway singled off Eric Lauer in the sixth inning Sunday, it had been 15 innings since the Indians’ last base hit.
Lauer followed up Saturday’s Corbin Burnes-Josh Hader combined no-hitter by keeping the streak going in an 11-1 win. He got plenty of support while claiming his sixth victory.
Both Kolten Wong and Avisail Garcia knocked the ball out of the park – twice.
The win gives Milwaukee a 14-game lead in the National League Central Division with just 18 games left in the regular season.
Monday is an off day, then Freddy Peralta pitches the first of a three-game series in Detroit on Tuesday.
