McFarland police are investigating hate speech allegations involving a high school student.
A Facebook post on the department’s page says a report was filed Thursday morning about a social media post “depicting hate speech” toward a student victim.
No names have been released.
Officials with the McFarland School District are said to be working with police on the matter.
Although police haven’t named the victim the post says the department and the village “stands with and supports” Asian-American Pacific Islander members of the community.
