Wisconsin quarterback Graham Mertz needs a boost of confidence after a shaky performance in the season-opening loss to Penn State.
Coach Paul Chryst’s Badgers could likely spend Saturday running the ball 50 times, ramming it down Eastern Michigan’s throat to a needed win.
A better choice might be to open the offense up a little as Eastern Michigan has been susceptible to big plays in the past.
It isn’t likely that U-W will put the ball in air a lot, but it would be a good thing to get Mertz back into a rhythm a couple of weeks before Wisconsin has to take on Notre Dame.
