Two Rivers City Council President Curt Andrews has announced that effective this Friday (September 10th), he will no longer be a part of the Council.
Andrews made the announcement at the Council Meeting last night (September 7th), where he read his resignation letter.
In the letter, he explained that the major financial commitment of his newly opened business in the Cool City requires his full attention, yet allows himself, his wife, and several investing partners to “serve our community in a different capacity, but still one with hope in an aspirational vision for generations to come.”
Andrews has been a part of the Council for three and a half years, serving as the president since last February.
Council Vice President Adam Wachowski will become Council President when Mr. Andrews vacates the seat.
According to a post on the Two Rivers City Hall Facebook page, it will be up to the City Council to elect a new Vice President from among its members, and to make an appointment to fill the vacancy on the Council.
Those matters will be addressed at the City Council’s next regular meeting, on Monday, September 20th.
